William Loeffler at the Tribune Review wrote an article in February titled, “Busted: New media makes it easier to catch cheaters.” He asked several experts, including Professional Matchmaker Susan Dunhoff, is it cheating if a spouse simply exchanges a few friendly or flirtatious e-mails with an old flame or office co-worker?
Here’s what Susan said, “If you must re-establish a connection with an ex-paramour, tread carefully. If you’re married and you start e-mailing an old flame, it’s opening the door to cheating. If this was a dating relationship, then why go back there?
If you were in a dating relationship that ended as a strong friendship, then it is perfectly acceptable to communicate via email.
